This Makita DJV181Z is one of the strongest cordless jigsaws in Makita’s LXT lineup. It is powered by the well known 18V Li Ion battery system and uses a brushless motor that delivers high cutting power while staying efficient and cool. With up to three thousand five hundred strokes per minute it cuts through wood, metal and plastic with clean results. The barrel grip design gives more control when guiding the saw along curves or precise lines which is why many professionals prefer this version.

The tool is designed for fast blade changes thanks to the tool less clamp. You can switch blades within seconds which is ideal for mixed material work. It offers three orbital settings plus straight cutting so you can choose between aggressive cuts for speed or fine cuts for accuracy. The aluminium base is rigid and can bevel up to forty five degrees left and right which gives flexibility for angled cuts. There are positive stops at zero degrees for consistent straight cuts.

Makita added several practical features that make daily use easier. The twin LED lights keep the cutting line visible even in darker workspaces. The blower function clears sawdust automatically so the cutting path stays clean. The soft no load function reduces vibration during idle time which makes the saw feel calmer and more controlled when you start the cut. A dust nozzle is included for vacuum extraction which keeps the workspace cleaner during long sessions.

This model is body only which allows you to use any existing 18V LXT batteries. For anyone already working with Makita tools this is an easy upgrade. It is a reliable jigsaw with strong performance, smooth handling and the build quality Makita is known for. Whether you are cutting kitchen worktops, flooring, plywood or detailed shapes for DIY projects, this saw delivers clean results with minimal effort.
