The Aquaphor Smile is a compact and lightweight fridge door jug designed to make filtered water simple and space efficient. With its 2.9 liter total capacity and included A5 filter cartridge, it offers a long filter life of up to 350 liters per cartridge, which is far more than many standard filters in this price range.

The jug is made to fit into standard refrigerator doors, making it ideal for small kitchens, student flats or anyone who wants a clean and easy hydration setup without losing shelf space. The flip top lid allows quick filling without removing the top, and the jug itself is dishwasher safe except for the lid. It is BPA free and built from food grade materials.

The A5 cartridge is the key benefit here. Thanks to Aquaphor’s Aqualen filtration matrix, it reduces chlorine, limescale, heavy metals including lead and mercury, pesticides and even microplastics. Because the filtration media has a larger contact surface compared to traditional filters, each drop of water gets better purification. For tea and coffee drinkers, the difference in taste is noticeable because the filter softens the water and prevents scale buildup in kettles and appliances.

This jug is also an eco friendly upgrade. One cartridge can replace up to around 1600 plastic bottles per year, which reduces waste and saves money long term. If you want an affordable and practical water filter jug that is easy to use, fits anywhere and delivers consistently cleaner water, this is a solid choice at the current price.
