The MasterClass Cast Aluminium Casserole Dish is a 5-litre, 28cm round casserole pot that delivers the cooking performance of cast iron at a fraction of the weight. At just 1.16kg, it is significantly lighter than a comparable enamelled cast iron casserole, making it far easier to handle when full and moving between hob and oven.

Cast aluminium conducts heat faster than cast iron and distributes it evenly across the base and sides, which means food cooks more uniformly and with less energy. The double-layer non-stick and scratch-proof interior coating ensures easy food release and straightforward cleaning, and the speckled grey interior finish is both visually distinctive and functionally protective. The coating also means less oil is needed during cooking, which is a practical health benefit for everyday use.

The self-basting lid is a thoughtful design detail. The interior of the lid is shaped to collect condensation and direct it back over the food during cooking, continuously basting the contents without any manual intervention. This is particularly beneficial for slow-cooked stews, braises, and casseroles where moisture retention directly affects the final texture and flavour.

The casserole works on all heat sources including induction, gas, ceramic, halogen, radiant ring, and solid plate, and is oven safe to 200°C. Dishwasher safe. Available in Red, Blue, Cream, Sky Blue, Ombre Grey, Mint, and Hunter Green. Comes gift boxed and backed by the MasterClass Lifetime Guarantee.
