The Downy automatic dispenser ball is a small but extremely useful tool if you use liquid fabric softener and your washing machine has no built-in dispenser or the drawer no longer works properly. Instead of waiting for the rinse cycle, you fill the ball with softener, close it and throw it directly into the drum. It opens automatically at the right moment and releases the softener without leaking and without messing up your clothes.

For older top loaders this is basically the easiest solution, but it also works in many front loaders where the softener compartment is unreliable. The design is simple, durable and easy to clean. Clothes come out softer, less static and with a consistent scent every time. Many reviewers highlight that it removes the hassle of timing the rinse cycle and makes the whole laundry routine easier.

If you want a low cost upgrade that solves a very practical problem at home, this little tool does exactly what it promises.
