The Fisher-Price Wooden Stack & Sort Animals is a simple, open-ended stacking and sorting toy designed for babies and toddlers from 12 months. It includes a stacking base and 9 animal-themed wooden blocks that children can arrange, combine, and build in any order they like, encouraging creative and imaginative play without a fixed right or wrong outcome.

The animal pieces can be stacked to create different creatures, mixing and matching heads, bodies, and bases to form an alligator, lion, koala, or entirely made-up animals. This open-ended approach to play supports early problem-solving thinking and keeps the toy engaging across multiple play sessions as children discover new combinations.

From a developmental perspective, the stacking and sorting actions involved help build fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination at a stage when these skills are developing rapidly. The tactile nature of wooden toys adds a sensory dimension that plastic alternatives typically cannot replicate.

All wood used is sourced from FSC-certified, well-managed forests, and the pieces are finished with non-toxic, water-based paints, making it a safe and environmentally responsible choice. No batteries are required and no assembly is needed, so it is ready to play with straight from the box. Suitable for ages 12 months to 3 years.
