Super Smash Bros Ultimate is still one of the most complete local multiplayer games on the Switch. Unlike story-based games that you finish once, this is made for endless replay sessions with friends or family. Up to eight players can jump in and battle with characters from every major Nintendo franchise plus guest fighters from Pokémon, Sonic, Street Fighter and more. Every match becomes unpredictable because the stages have hazards, items drop randomly and each fighter has their own unique move set. It is easy to pick up for casual players but there is enough depth for competitive play if you want to master combos and dodges.

All existing amiibo figures are supported and can be scanned to create AI versions of your favourite characters that level up over time. Works great on a single console with Joy Cons or with Pro Controllers if you prefer a classic layout. Online matches are possible but the real fun is still on the sofa with shouting, last second comebacks and revenge rounds. Perfect for parties, travel days or quick daily rounds if you have only ten minutes
