If you want a clean and modern mailbox without plastic parts or flimsy hinges, this SONGMICS model is a solid pick. It is made from galvanised steel with a powder coated finish, so it handles rain, cold and daily use without rusting. The lock sits under a covered top flap, which protects it against water and dirt. You get two keys in the box.

The built in newspaper compartment keeps papers separate from letters, and the V shaped viewing window means you can see at a glance if anything has arrived. The mailbox feels sturdy at 3.6 kg and comes with screws, plugs and rubber spacers for a straightforward wall mount.

If you want a simple upgrade that looks cleaner than the usual metal boxes and actually lasts outdoors, this one works well and fits beside any front door without standing out too much.
