The Seven Sisters: Maia’s Story is the captivating first installment in Lucinda Riley’s internationally best-selling series, inspired by the mythology of the famous star constellation. This book introduces the D’Aplièse sisters, all adopted by the mysterious billionaire “Pa Salt.” The epic tale of love and loss begins when Pa Salt suddenly passes away, prompting the sisters to gather at their childhood home, a secluded castle on the shores of Lake Geneva. Each sister receives a tantalising clue to her heritage, and this novel focuses on Maia’s quest. Following her clue, Maia travels across the world to a crumbling mansion in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The story skillfully intertwines two narratives across different generations. Eighty years prior, the adventurous Izabela Bonifacio convinces her father to let her travel to Paris, where she meets a passionate young sculptor. Their lives change instantly.
