The SONGMICS LTB54BK is a 54-litre triple-compartment kitchen waste separation bin, dividing the total capacity into three independent 18-litre sections for sorting recyclable packaging, organic waste, and residual waste at the point of disposal. Sorting waste at the bin rather than handling it later is the most practical approach to household recycling, and a dedicated three-compartment pedal bin makes the habit effortless by default.

The steel construction is rust-resistant and the ink-black finish gives the bin a clean, modern aesthetic that sits well in a contemporary kitchen without looking utilitarian. The soft-close lid mechanism is the quality detail that separates this from cheaper alternatives: the three lids lower slowly and quietly without slamming, which matters significantly in daily use when the bin is opened and closed dozens of times. Each compartment has its own lid section that operates independently.

The pedal opening keeps hands free and avoids contact with the bin during use. Each of the three inner buckets lifts out independently via its metal handle for emptying and cleaning, making maintenance straightforward. Fifteen garbage bags are included in the box, and the bin also ships with a set of label stickers for customising each compartment.

The 18-litre capacity per compartment is a practical size that encourages regular emptying before contents have time to develop odour, particularly relevant for the organic waste section.
